Over the past forty years, I have developed a wealth of experience in both sport and travel. From college, I played rugby for Bridgend RFC and Cardiff RFC. My rugby career overlapped the start of my teaching career when I taught PE at St. Cyres in Penarth, for eight years. I was then appointed Head of PE at Ysgol Glantaf in Cardiff. The department built up a formidable rugby reputation with many touring schools wanting the opportunity to play against us. It was a natural progression for the department to extend the rugby opportunities for our teams and so we too began touring abroad. The experience of touring as a rugby team forged some tremendous friendships and unforgettable memories within each touring party. My personal touring experiences continued when I was appointed Team Manager with the Cardiff Blues and my network of contacts across the world became more extended. When I finished working with the Cardiff Blues, PE colleagues began asking if I could organise tours for them as they had neither the time or the contacts to do so themselves - and so, in 2001, SBRI Sports Tours was launched.

For the past twenty years, I have worked for Cardiff Rugby as Head Analyst. This position has involved constant travelling within the UK, Europe, South Africa and the Far East. In addition, I have had the privilege of working and travelling with The Barbarians FC on several tours; the largest tour was to Hong Kong playing against the British & Irish Lions. My extensive travelling experiences have given me the opportunity to form a large network of friends throughout the world and these with sporting contacts have provided invaluable insight and support when organising our sports tours. I have a vision to widen the horizons of Sbri Tours and to give many students and supporters the opportunity to experience the thrills of touring.
